Twenty two great songs were specially chosen for variety and freshness on this special treasury. They’re among our own special favorites PLUS 2 bonus songs that Elvis loved but never got to record himself! Jim Vanhollebeke logged over forty tracks for this album and was forced to whittle that number down to the 22 that we were able to fit in the program. Jimmy's OTHER FAVORITES is an "Off-Topic" CD in which Jim gives a salute to other recording artists of Elvis' era. cd_moreElvis.jpg More Elvis Please (2006)
As in the past, our main focus in covering Elvis'material is to present some of the more obscure songs that he's done ...and perhaps widen the scope of what people PERCEIVE that he did. Many of Elvis' movie songs, for example, were actually GOOD! And much of his Gospel music went unnoticed even though no one could do the spiritual stuff better then he. With MORE ELVIS PLEASE, Jim performs Elvis songs that you might DISCOVER, rather than re-visit. He believes it is more entertaining and much less repetitive than the usual Elvis tribute. As an Elvis Tribute Recording-Artist, his aim is to REFLECT Elvis, NOT IMI-TATE. Jim wants to REMIND you of the gifted diverse artist that Presley was. So if we bring him back even just a little ...if we recapture some of the magic that made him so unique ...then we will be happy. 26 great songs in MORE ELVIS PLEASE, include: Crawfish, I Want to Be Free, Baby What You want Me to Do, Bitter They are Harder They Fall, Run On, Ku-u-ipo, Yesterday, Big Boss Man, Such an Easy Question, Until It's Time for You to Go, Edge of Reality, I'll Remember You, Separate Ways, Feel So Bad, Summer Kisses Winter Tears, Baby Let's Play House, Just a Little Bit, Dirty Dirty Feeling, Your Time Hasn't Come Yet Baby, All that I Am, Is it So Strange, After Loving You, Playing for Keeps, Slowly But Surely, Put the Blame On Me and Just Pretend. Yes,we like the obscure ones because they're so good and really fun to discover! Elvis recorded well over 600 songs ...and over half of them are every bit as good as the 50 or so that most people are familiar with! That's why we're dedicated to doing...MORE ELVIS PLEASE!
CD_alabama_bg.jpg ALABAMA DREAM (2008)
The original song for which this album is named was written by Jim after a hiatus of over 20 years from his music writing. Actually, ”Alabama Dream" was begun as an instrumental with no words by a Mr. Ray Jennings for a "B" side on one of his single releases. The rest of the program reflects VanHollebeke's passion for the original rock & roll of his youth (plus a desire to have some fun and possibly a couple laughs too). Listen to the fervor as he sings the big hits of favorite artists such as Bobby Darin, The Regents, Neil Sedaka, The Beach Boys, Elvis Presley, The Marcels, Sam the Sham & the Pharaohs, T. Rex, Simon & Garfunkel, The Exciters, Gogi Grant, The Shangri-las, Manhattan Transfer, Willie Nelson, The Kingsmen, Simon & Garfunkel, The Mavericks, Electric Light Orchestra, and Kenny Loggins. Remembering the really good times with this program, we think THIS may be our best album yet. Thank God we’re NEVER too old to Rock and Roll!
cd_oldiesbutgoodies_300.jpg Oldies But Goodies (2010)
Jim's 2010 release contains many classic hits from artists such as The Coasters, The Hollies, CCR, the Monkeys, Simonand Garfunkel, The Beatles, and more. Listen to some samples on our Songs page.
CD_RockinGospel_300.jpg ROCKIN' GOSPEL (2011)
Although most of Jim's previous recorded works have reflected the mainstream pop music of his youth, a growing urge to create a new album with traditional Gospel increasingly haunted his subconsious. So now, after several years of compilation and efforts to gather an imaginative assortment for this revered American art form, Jim created this hour-long program. He sincerely hopes you'll enjoy his heartfelt labor of love.

With this album, I began to search for something that might appeal to wider tastes which could vary from my personal memories - something appealing to the 'ladies' in a sentimental or romantic flavor.
