This is another one of my favorite Pinocchio dolls. It is one of the original antique composition dolls from 1939 celebrating the release of Walt Disney's then newest full length animated movie, PINOCCHIO. It is 17" tall and made by Disney through the Knickerbocker Toy Co.. I accquired it as a basically worthless naked corpse in need of repair and restored it to it's original beauty of some 63 years ago. Among other things, eyes had to be repainted and clothing was recreated with felt. Much care was used in keeping with the original design for all these new items. The result turned out very nicely. We even recreated the doll tag using photos of an original tag and a couple computer programs. For extra detail you may click again on this picture and it will become much BIGGER!
